Beauty Busters: Softlips

I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to lipbalm and handcream. Lipbalm I just cannot be without and if I find myself with none, I instantly look for the nearest pharmacy to buy yet another to add to my random but vast collection.
My old faithful is Nivea (even though I actually really dislike Nivea products, their Essential Care lipbalm is the best) but most recently I've tried Softlips which I keep on my desk for regular applications throughout the day. What I love about Softlips is the streamlined tube (it's very skinny, like Natasha Poly) and the bright colours and fun design. The product goes on nicely; it's smooth and definitely keeps my lips soft. I do tend to find I re-apply more often than my usual choice, but that's no hardship when it feels so good on the lips! It might also be something to do with the fact I'm forever smacking my lips together to feel the softness!
Softlips contains SPF20 and is available in two flavours (French Vanilla and Vitamin Enriched), both of which are free of animal by-products. My favourite is the Vitamin Enriched - as the name suggests, it's packed full of vitamins which nourish the lips and keep them safe from drying out and unsightly chapping. There's also Avocado oil in there, which is brilliant for boosting moisture, while the SPF protects against the sun and pollution.
Despite being a die-hard Nivia lipbalm devotee, I absolutely love Softlips and would highly recommend the lipbalm to any girl on the go who likes to take care of her pout.

Above: perhaps the most important item on my desk?!
Softlips are available at Boots and Superdrug for around £2.
