Dom & Ruby is a London design team that creates great, stylish, quality pieces that will fit seamlessly into women's existing wardrobes for any event, whether for work, cocktails or the school run. I first heard about Dom & Ruby towards the end of 2009 and instantly fell in love with their leather leggings, which have now become a contemporary classic - especially with celebrities such as Kate Beckinsale, Lisa Snowdon and now Sarah Parish sporting the super soft, super comfy leggings. Dom and Ruby met ten years ago when Ruby spotted a pair of suede trousers in Vogue - she simply had to have them, and they led her straight to designer, Dom, who later became her husband! A bit of a Cinderella story, with the incredible fashion credentials to boot.
Following the great success of their leather collection, they have expanded their Autumn/Winter collection to include different fabrics such as wool, cashmere and silk, and boy, it's paid off. Their dresses are divine and the accessories are just too adorable, without losing the chic quality now synonymous with the label.
My new favourite? The limited edition shearling and leather aviator jacket - it looks so warm and cosy and, even better, it represents beautifully one of the biggest trends for AW10. When I laid eyes on it, I had the same response I had to the leather leggings - I want!
