Time Warp
This image from the Hobbs SS11 campaign takes my imagination to a place somewhere between 1950 and 2011. The bombshell hair and Prada-esque cats-eye sunglasses is pure Fifties knockout, while the sharp lines of the monochrome stripes and the contemporary museum space brings it right back to now.
In this campaign, I see an intelligent, art-savvy secretary who has hurriedly nipped out in her lunch hour to meet with her older lover. You can tell by the way she's searching with covered eyes that he's late!
What do you see when you look at this image? Perhaps you see the museum curator, or a woman waiting for her friends before going for lunch in the gallery cafe?
