London Fashion Week: Holly Fulton

Holly Fulton has come a long way since her Royal College of Art graduate collection in 2007. Starting as part of the Fashion East collective at London Fashion Week, Fulton now has her own slot on the LFW schedule and her SS12 show proved that she deserves to be on the circuit. Next season, Fulton continues her signature Art Deco references but she also introduces a softer mood (see the palazzo pants, printed jumpsuits and billowing maxi dress) which is an exciting progression to see from a designer who has created such a definite aesthetic. Holly Fulton has rapidly gained the affections of the fashion industry but the trick now is to keep them interested - because as we well know, they're a fickle lot. However, the SS12 collection shows that if anyone can hold their attention, Fulton can.
