Beauty Busters: Moroccanoil Light
Moroccanoil became a hair care staple almost overnight and having tried it a handful of times, it’s definitely a new staple of mine. Moroccanoil Light is already one of my most precious hair care routine products.
The oil smells amazing (so good that my mum actually said she’d wear it as her fragrance instead of perfume). The fragrance is very rich but is also very natural, not at all overly fragranced, meaning I could still smell my regular shampoo and conditioner in my hair.
I chose Moroccanoil Light because, although I have quite a lot, my hair is fine and so usually products just swamp it and my hair looks greasy within a day of using said product. Moroccanoil Light is meant for blonde or fine hair so I would suggest going with this one if you have delicate locks. The original Moroccanoil is aimed at hair that is dark or thick so I imagine would work better on stronger hair, whereas it might be a little too heavy for anyone with fine hair.
The texture is silky and despite being an oil doesn’t feel greasy or sticky. I applied the oil after towel drying my hair (just one pump is more than enough for shoulder length hair, so a 100 ml bottle will last for months) and then blow dried and styled it as usual. My hair felt and looked healthier – I really mean that – and was described by the girls in the office as looking much “bouncier”. Moroccanoil Light seemed to really lift my hair and give it new life, but also left it feeling really soft (not flyaway soft) and smooth. Finally, my dry hair looked glossy. Moroccanoil Light took me one step closer to the Olivia Palermo inspired long bob I’ve been aspiring to since May.
If you struggle with the texture and manageability of your hair but you haven’t tried Moroccanoil, I suggest you do immediately. Don’t let the price tag put you off – Moroccanoil is worth every penny; think of investing in the product as a way to invest in your hair. I will.
