Beauty Busters: Tom Ford Neroli Portofino

It seems to me that everything Tom Ford touches is magic. I half expect unicorns to follow him wherever he goes. Ford has an innate ability to transform almost anything into something chic, something desirable - and sometimes, something affordable.
His latest collection of beauty products brings the Tom Ford luxury to everyone's bathroom. I was lucky enough to be sent a sample of the Body Oil, which is the focus of today's review.
Last night, I set Mr Man to work (in the name of beauty reviews, he gave me a massage with the oil) and almost immediately, the fragrance surrounded me. It's fresh and revitalising. When I closed my eyes I really could convince myself that I was by the water in the Italian Riviera town of Portofino, on which this collection is based. Tom Ford's representative told that the Body Oil helps to condition the skin, particularly with the signature Mediterranean based blend of olive fruit oil, grape seed oil and date seed extract. I'm not a particularly good connoisseur of fragrance, and I couldn't honestly say that I could identify these particular scents, but believe me - they work well together.
Of course, I had to return the favour for Mr Man, and when using the oil, somehow, I found it has a silky texture. It almost feels soft and the consistency is just right: not too oily, not too runny, not too greasy - very light. It's soothing, but at the same time invigorating. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this particularl product should be a staple product in every bathroom.
Tom Ford says of his new collection: “The Neroli Portofino scent, which is one of the most popular scents in the Private Blend Collection, has a crisp and effervescent quality that is entirely present in every element of these body products.”
I agree, Mr Ford. It's also entirely present in my bathroom cabinet.

With thanks to Tom Ford public relations.
I'm sorry that this review comes slightly later than the launch - let's call it a technical hitch (aka Royal Mail).
