Swiss Elegance

I was recently sent this beautiful Roamer watch to style for The Daydreamer, and I have to say, I don't want to give it back!

I usually wear a gold watch, which I've had for almost five years after noticing Carrie Bradshaw wearing one in Sex and the City (Series 3, Episode 44: Sex and Another City) while in LA with the girls. She wore hers with a deep, golden tan and from that moment on, I knew I had to get myself a gold men's watch. So, Mum bought me one for Christmas in 2007, and I've worn it to death ever since. Over the past couple of years, the gold gentleman's watch has been a hot trend, so when the lovely Maya suggested I try out a silver Roamer, I jumped at the chance to try a new version of my favourite watch.

It turns out, I'm in love. Maya sent me the Swiss Elegance Chrono, which is silver in colour and is water resistant for up to 50 metres (perfect for this wet British summer!). The watch is heavy and the cold steel feels good against my skin on muggy "summer" days, and, despite being a statement piece, the Roamer doesn't feel uncomfortable at all. It feels totally natural (although I am used to a large watch) and doesn't seem to get in the way of general day-to-day routine, which is important because I type a lot. What's more is, the Roamer is Swiss, and we all know how good the Swiss are at producing watches - and chocolate!

Roamer was established in 1988 and has an dedicated following. The Roamer website explains: "For generations, Roamer has enjoyed an excellent reputation for its inimitable ability to combine functionality and elegance with a balanced, aesthetically pleasing design. The authentically grown brand has stringent quality controls. Roamer cultivates its passion for the tiniest details, for in the watch industry it is well known that these quickly become significant distinctions."

If you are on the hunt for a new watch, I suggest you take a look at the Roamer website. It has a huge selection of Roamer watches (men's, women's and unisex) which are luxurious and timeless - definitely worth investing in - while the brand philosophy is one of pure indulgence.

A suggestion to my lovely daydreamers? Buy one for the man in your life for some brownie points at home - then simply borrow his new Roamer for instant brownie points in style!
