AUSSIE

Inspirations

Inspired by the genuine country life of Australian farmers, against the backdrop of the outback and its landscape. A simple and practical style made of trousers, shirts and coats for both men and women, with a colour palette that recalls the thousand warm shades of the earth at the sunset. A rediscovery of the wool fibre applies to this urban wear, especially for its thermoregulation qualities which make the fibre ideal for the warmer months of summer. The look is worn and washed with innovative and long-lasting treatments for the fabrics.
Materials

Wool blended with cotton and other vegetal fibres such as hemp, linen or silk. Small prints on jersey for women's shirts. Chambray, twill, panama, waffle and soft double gauze for the fabrics. Colour coating effect and long lasting treatments. The fabrics' look is mostly worn and washed.

FREEPORT

Inspirations

This theme is inspired by the sailing world and honours its sporty and high-performance clothing. Functional garments that express a dynamic and fun approach to a life that is devoted entirely to the sea. This passion is also reflected thorough the colour palette that is influenced by lighthouses and buoys, and through the finishing treatments that are aged and worn.
Materials

100 per cent wool, wool/cotton or wool/nylon blends also for the technical fabrics. The structures and patterns of the fabrics embody this sporty and lived life through worn and washed effects, film coloured coating, bonding.

TRENDS // EVENT - CUIR A PARIS LEATHER AND FUR . SPRING/SUMMER 2015

CUIR A PARIS Leather and Fur show will be held February 18-20, at the Paris Nord Villepinte for S/S 2015.  You can visit their site here, for details.

Here is a preview of their key trends for the Spring/Summer 2015 season
where you can view the full report here.

A COLORFUL 2015 SUMMER IN PROSPECT

Although, thankfully, the summer will see plenty of colors, this season they will be less loud. They will play a more refined score.

We talk of discoloration for bleached pastels with a hint of albino. We play with gradations of aqua and celadon shades. We strengthen pigmentary tones to better stifle them, by combining purples with grey-browns and oranges with changing dark greens.

Yellow, from fresh chick to aniseed verdi yellow is already the season's favorite and seems to be a
recurring theme.

THE SUMMER 2015 COLOUR PALETTE IN CLOSE-UP
Summer 15 sees colors become calmer, mellow and more sophisticated.

A white haze softens pastels, which take on an ethereal air, sky-blue and green become celadon, violet is greyer and yellow is tender.

Beige and sandy colors are elegant whilst white is pearlised and lightens pale grey.

The neutrals, Kraft and taupe, are given a rough ride by blotting paper pink and bamboo green.

Summer darks are lightened by floral purples and ochre yellow, whilst greens are deep and changing.

Aqua blues, from ink to zephyr, are indispensable.

The essentials:
Yellows, from chick to sunflower
Blues, from bleached sky to the abyss
Purples, from grey violet to cardinal
And lastly... White and off-white, to be used without moderation.

WOMEN'S ACTIVE TRENDS
SPRING/SUMMER 2015

Move over runway, and step your game up contemporary, activewear has found its potential and it's here to compete. As forecasted by Fashion Snoops, we are entering a unique era of style. A new outlook in wardrobe and routines is spearheaded by the Millennials who seamlessly fuse active influences with everyday wear. Being the first generation to grow up with technology, they have the keys to the creative city that was once only open to locals. Now there's opportunity to seek out tech-specific textiles, rioting color palettes, modern aesthetics, street utility details, and new subcultures.

DIGITAL SKIN welcomes a new age of mankind, where technology is used to enhance nature-- improving, healing or even literally becoming one with the human body. 3D materials provide the body with protection and repair, while fabrics block UV rays, wick moisture and foster healthier skin. Compression inserts are incorporated to elevate core function, optimize or recover muscle use and improve the posture. Colors play between the natural and the man-made, with rubbery matte neutrals, glassy blue-greens and greys and high-shine finishes. Modern and sleek shapes are influenced by the sci-fi realm, centering around a body conscious fit, with streamlined details and out-of-this-world textures. Yes, it's high tech used like we've only ever imaged, but still everything remains rooted within nature; nothing feels overly synthetic or cold. At the heart of DIGITAL SKIN lies scientific innovation---a challenge to break boundaries, all to benefit the active body.

CANDYLAND welcomes a rush of contagious energy, injecting high voltage vibes into the activewear world as never seen before. While this feeling of carefree whimsy will surely continue for seasons to come, it is positively exploding into Spring 2015. The focus is on surfer girls from Bondi Beach to the Hawaiian Pipeline, mixed with the humor and dreaminess of the Harajuku street style movement, inspiring designs that put the fun into function. Materials range from foamy neoprenes and super slick spandex, to classic comfy favorites like heavy cotton fleece and reverse terry weaves. Silhouettes mostly stick to classic shapes, we do see an exaggeration in proportion (both oversized and shrunken), while the rash guard, sporty bustier and baggy sweatpants are favorite features. Basics are refreshed with new materials, chunky colorblocks and a healthy dose of humor. Playfully sweet and silly graphics will be the season's signature, while a palette of acid hues, both pop and pastel shades, are impossible to ignore.

TOP WOMEN'S COLORS SPRING/SUMMER 2015

Barely There Powders present the most dominant color family this season, and update icy tones from the past few seasons. Our second favorite family is Desert Neutrals, which stand out because of their tonal richness. Kitschy Midtones confirm our Visionary color forecasts, while Active Brights remain at the forefront this season in intense casts. Regal Darks speak to the continuation of jewel tones from Fall with hues like bottle green and burgundy.

AQUA
A blue-influenced aqua hue is particularly relevant set to sport or surf influenced collections.

GRAPEFRUIT
Grapefruit comes in as a new color this season, particularly relevant in Milan collections.

RUST
Rust presents itself as the most forward fashion color in Desert Neutrals.

MARIGOLD
Marigold becomes a new yellow expression with rich golden undertones.

CUSTARD
Pastel yellow is whited out into a new custard shade.

LAVENDER
As the most saturated powder shade, lavender progresses from last season.

SHAMROCK
A new green on the horizon this season is a very saturated shamrock shade.

POPPY
Red is still very much a must-have color, with poppy providing the brightest casts.

ELECTRIC BLUE
Electric blue has already achieved popularity as a commercial fashion color, and it continues forward this season.
